How to Help

A common question we get asked is "How can I help"  Its easy for everyone to help make a difference.  Whether its a donation to help fund the project. sponsor a buoy that can have your brand logo / name on that will be seen by the thousands of divers a week that visit the wreck!  Another thing as a diver you can do is let us know if there is anything you feel could be done or photograph and let us have details of any boats you feel are causing damage through improper mooring.

Below is an illustration on where the better palces to moor are, of course the recommendation of using ropes and not wires can not be stressed enough

We have a Facebook page which is a fantastic way to get the word out there about the project, a link can be found at the bottom left of every page, please like and share our page with all your friends and diving buddies!  The more awareness about the project the better.

Download our profile picture poster or take a selfie with it and post to your wall to spread awareness of our cause.  Also email them to us at contact@savessthistlegorm.com and we will add them to our album of Thistlegorm Supporters.

If you see divers touching or sitting on the wreck make sure you signal them appropriately to stop it, also if you have a concern about the dive company you are using and how they have moored then don't be afraid to mention your concern with them.  If you are an instructor then whilst going through the standard briefing it should be mandatory that no touching or sitting on any part of the wreck be emphasised, the preservation of the wreck is vital for the diving community and especially to the tourism of Sharm El Sheikh

The core of this project is all about education and awareness.....
